The Housing and Development Board (HDB) has unveiled plans for the Sembawang Beacon, marking the inaugural Build-To-Order (BTO) project in the newly established Sembawang North neighbourhood. This significant development is set to launch in July 2025 and will offer a total of 775 residential units. The Sembawang Beacon is designed to cater to a diverse population by featuring a variety of flat types, including two-room flexi, five-room, and 3Gen flats. This array of options aims to accommodate various housing needs and personal preferences among potential buyers.

The anticipated completion of the project is approximately three years from its launch date, reflecting a commitment to providing timely housing solutions. The location of the Sembawang Beacon is strategically chosen, situated within a 53-hectare site bounded by Admiralty Link, Admiralty Lane, and Canberra Road. This positioning not only enhances the accessibility of the development but also ensures that residents can benefit from existing amenities, including the nearby Sembawang MRT Station. Such proximity to public transportation is expected to increase the attractiveness of the project, particularly for young families and those who commute frequently to work.

As part of a broader initiative, the Sembawang Beacon will contribute to a significant number of BTO flats planned for the July 2025 sales exercise, which will total approximately 5,500 units across various locations, including Bukit Merah and Clementi. This extensive rollout emphasizes the HDB’s ongoing efforts to meet the increasing housing demands of Singapore’s growing population.
